Raymond W. Cohen -  Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Cohen joined Minnow as Chief Executive Officer in June 2010. He also serves as an advisor to Fjord Ventures, LLC., a life-science incubator located in Laguna Hills, CA and is a member of the Board of Directors of several public and private medical technology firms including; CardioPolymers, Inc., a venture-backed developer of novel biotherapeutic therapies for congestive heart failure patients, Cardiogenesis, Inc., (CPCG) a manufacturer of transmyocardial revascularization lasers, BioLife Solutions, Inc. (BLFS) a manufacturer of cryopreservation products used for human cell and tissue preservation, Syncroness, Inc., a privately-held engineering and product development firm and BioGenex, a private manufacturer of immunohistochemistry devices. From 2006-2010, Cohen served as CEO of CardioPolymers, Inc., and the previous decade as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cardiac Science (Nasdaq: CSCX). In 2004, Cardiac Sciences was ranked as the 4th fastest growing technology company in North America on Deloitte and Touche's Fast 500 listing.

In 2008, Mr. Cohen was named by AeA as the Private Company Life Science CEO of the Year. Mr. Cohen was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002 by the Orange County Business Journal and was a finalist for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year in the medical company category in 2004.

Mr. Cohen is a member of a number of local Southern California organizations, notably the Forum of Corporate Directors, Advisory Council Member Keck Graduate Institue, BioScience MBA program and OCTANe where he is a member of the Biomedical Leadership Council. Mr. Cohen is an Accredited Public Company Director and holds a B.S. in Business Management from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Michael Perry - Chief Technical Officer

For more than two decades, Mr. Perry's leadership experience has been pivotal in successfully developing products and accelerating marketplace entry. Prior to joining Minnow Medical, Mr. Perry, a holder of 20 patents, was the co-founder and executive vice president at Pacific Consultants. A leader in the design and analysis of a wide range of medical devices including vascular stents, Pacific Consultants was ranked #134 on Inc.'s list of fastest growing private companies. At the FDA's request, he has lectured industry executives on the importance of product design and regulatory requirements. Mr. Perry graduated from San Jose State University with a BS degree in mechanical engineering.

Sharon Riddle - Senior Vice President of Market Development

Ms. Riddle has over 25 years of experience in the marketing and sales management of interventional devices. Ms. Riddle was most recently vice president of marketing for FeRx, Inc., a development stage life sciences company specializing in drug delivery systems for cancer therapeutics. She helped found and was vice president of international marketing and sales for Radiotherapeutics Corporation. As group marketing manager for Mallinckrodt Medical's Imaging Division, Ms. Riddle was responsible for the strategic alliance agreement that allowed entry into the peripheral marketplace. Ms. Riddle earned her BS in health sciences from San Jose State University.

Bret A. Herscher, Ph.D. – Vice President of Engineering

Previous to Minnow Medical, Dr. Herscher served as President and Chief Executive Officer of PEMSTAR Pacific Consultants (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pemstar Inc.), and additionally as Executive Vice President, Research and Development of PEMSTAR, (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pemstar Inc.), which he co-founded in 1996. Bret Herscher has functioned as a hands-on Chief Technical Officer throughout his career. He brings to Minnow Medical, Inc. a deep electrical expertise crucial to the development of Minnow’s technology platform. He has led a number of engineering teams and has held a variety of engineering management positions in the high technology industry. Dr. Herscher holds 12 U.S. and international patents. He was educated at Cambridge University in England, earning a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering, and a M.A. in Mathematics and Electrical Sciences.

Dan Dearen - Chief Financial Officer

For nearly 25 years, Mr. Dearen has been involved in the financial and strategic management of companies in the medical and technology industries. Prior to joining Minnow Medical, Mr. Dearen served as CFO for Miraval Holding, Q3DM, Fairbanks Systems Group and Medication Delivery Devices. Previously, Mr. Dearen was a director for Ventana Growth Funds, an international venture capital firm with 53 portfolio companies in the medical device, biotechnology and healthcare service sectors. Mr. Dearen began his career as a CPA in the healthcare group for Ernst & Young. Mr. Dearen holds an MBA from Boston College and a BBA from Southern Methodist University.
